Candidates seeking admission to the DBA program must have a master’s degree plus 3 years of professional work experience, or a bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of professional work experience. Outstanding applications based on significant professional experience would be reviewed by our admissions committee.

CEFDG
The CEFDG (Commission for the Evaluation and Guarantee of the Quality of Higher Education in Business and Management) is a French national body responsible for the evaluation and guarantee of the quality of higher education programmes in business and management.
Its mission is to define the conditions for awarding master’s degrees to higher education institutions in commerce and management. Furthermore, the CEFDG reevaluates diplomas of higher education institutions in commerce, continuously ensuring the highest standards of education.
State-recognised Diploma
The recognition from the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research provides qualifications officially recognised by the state. It is granted to training courses from Bac+3 to Bac+5.
In 2020, the Ministry of Higher Education and Research renewed its accreditation of the master’s degree (Bac+5 in Management (Bac+3) at ISTEC. Moreover, in the same year, the Ministry of Higher Education and Research also renewed the accreditation of the master’s degree (Bac+5) and the master’s-level qualification (Grade de Master) for the Grande École Program at ISTEC.
The Conférence des Grandes École (CGE) is a French association of engineers, management and higher education schools. All of which are state-recognised.
ISTEC is a proud member of the CGE, bringing together 38 officially state-recognised Grandes Écoles of management. These are authorised to award master’s degrees (Bac+5) with the grade of master. These prestigious schools represent the highest degree of reference in their fields of education in France and internationally.
Founded in 1972, the EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development) is a global nonprofit organisation focused on management development.
The EFMD is a globally recognised institution and an accreditation body for business schools, their programmes and corporate universities. EFMD is a comprehensive network bringing together schools and companies alike that seek to educate the socially responsible managers and leaders of tomorrow while seeking to obtain beneficial networking opportunities.
Aligned with its values, ISTEC is currently in the accreditation process with EFMD. As a current member of EFMD, we continue to progress towards obtaining accreditation soon.
The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) is an American-based accreditation body. Founded in 1916, the AACSB recognises top business schools based on the quality of their management training.
As part of its resolute international ambitions, ISTEC has been engaged in its accreditation process since 2022. As a current member of AACSB, we endeavour to obtain this merit within the next 3 years.
This certification recognises training providers that meet stringent quality criteria defined by the government and regional governments, ensuring quality training to beneficiaries.

In 2024, the highly respected L’Étudiant published its 2024 ranking of major business schools. This list comprised 37 Grande École programmes from the best schools awarding master’s degrees.

The ISTEC Grande École Program has progressed with a significant jump of 6 places. ISTEC is now ranked at 26th place out of 37 for post-prep and post-baccalaureate training courses. Furthermore, it has been designated 9th of 15 places for post-baccalaureate training courses.
From these figures, it is conclusive that ISTEC has demonstrated a high level of teaching competency, expertise and dedication to excellence in education.
