Invest in the career of a lifetime at a world-class business school

Ready to help others find new jobs, develop their skills, and achieve their professional goals?

Join our Online Human Resource Management Master’s Degree (Top-up) and become a key member of teams in a wide range of industries.

Our MA in HRM blends practical know-how with a critical grasp of the modern values, policies, and ethics in HRM. During the course, students will learn the skills needed to effectively manage a business’s most important asset — its employees. In addition, students will also understand how changes in the global economy, and national and international politics, impact the HRM profession.

Our course prepares students for the growing list of duties that fall under the HRM remit. In addition, the course also readies students for the current and future shift towards employee-centric working environments. For example, the course covers strategic human resource and work-life balance. As a result, students will be well prepared for current and future demands of mid-to-senior level roles in HRM contexts.

We have designed our MA in HRM with flexible study in mind. As a result, those with relevant level 7 qualifications can study just one module of our Online HR MA (top-up) to achieve their master’s (see below for full details on entry requirements and study modes). In addition, students can study our MA in HRM via distance learning. As a result, they can continue working during the course.

During the MA, students work side-by-side with tutors to create a study plan. Thanks to this, the course will directly address career aims. And beyond the base of knowledge at the core of the MA, students will be able to shape topics, theories, and more to suit future job roles.

Modules

We offer two study options for our Online Human Resource Management Master’s Degree. A full, 180-credit master’s, and a top-up master’s.

Students with a relevant level 7 qualification can join the top-up master’s. So, these students only need to finish the 60-credit thesis module (Consultancy Report Project) of the MA in HRM degree to graduate.

Students with a level 6 qualification (a BA in HRM, for example) will join the full master’s degree. This includes 7 modules of study (listed below). We have designed each module with flexible learning in mind. As a result, students can apply broad concepts, such as problem-solving, ethics, and managing workers to a variety of industries.

During the thesis module, students will work with tutors to create a study topic. They will then plan, design, run and report their findings.

Career Prospects

HRM is a fast-changing industry that is moving towards a more employee-centric outlook. New, flexible thinkers that can bridge the gap between employee and employer are needed. As a result, grads of our HRM Master’s may find themselves leading employee growth in large corporations, or fighting for employee rights as trade union officials.

So, students of this master’s will be able to apply for manager or even SM roles after graduating. And those who want to learn more can go on to study research projects via a PhD. Likewise, students can go on to gain professional accreditation from bodies such as the CIPD.
