Invest in the career of a lifetime at a world-class business school

Ready to step up from your executive role? Study our Online Master’s in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (SCM) (top-up) to improve your career outlook.

Global SCM makes up a large portion of the world’s GDP (an estimated 12%). Yet, investment in staff and tech is far behind other industries. At King’s Business School, we have worked with partners in e-commerce, software development, and manufacturing to create a master’s degree programme that addresses this skill gap. The degree aims to create future-proof graduates that are ready to lead the next steps in SCM.

We have designed the Online Master’s in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (top-up) to allow those with relevant qualifications the chance to fast-track their studies. Consequently, those with level 7 certification will be able to achieve a master’s with just a single module of study.

And it has never been more important for SCM experts to understand the impact of their choices. For this reason, our master’s degree pays close attention to new sustainability trends. As a result, students will be asked to reflect on corporate responsibility and how to produce sustainable results.

During the MSc, students will work with tutors to develop a curriculum that addresses their career goals. Beyond guided study, students will also work independently, particularly in the thesis module.

The Online Master’s in Logistics and Supply Chain Management is taught via our virtual learning environment (VLE). As a result, students can continue working while studying.

Modules

We offer two study paths for our Online Master’s in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. A full, 180-credit master’s, and a top-up master’s.

Students with a level 7 qualification can join the top-up branch of the master’s. These students must complete only the thesis module of the master’s degree to graduate.

Students with a relevant level 6 (BSc in Logistics Engineering, for example) qualification will study the full master’s degree (modules listed below). Modules have been created to blend best practices in SCM with new trends in data, business analysis, and corporate liability.

The thesis will allow students to learn the critical skills needed for academic success while maximising their employability. During the thesis module, tutors will guide students towards forming analytical and problem-solving skills.

We have created the programme with a strong focus on current trends in logistics and SCM. As a result, students will learn how to gauge the environmental footprint of a business, produce input-output impact reports of supply chains, and deliver sustainability briefs.

In short, graduates of the master’s will be at the fore of new trends in this truly global sector. Consequently, graduates may find themselves in manager or senior manager roles. And those looking to continue their studies can use the master’s as a steppingstone to MPhils and PhDs.
