We offer two study routes for our MSc in Accounting and Finance. First, the full master’s degree — a full 180-credit level 7 qualification. Second, the 60-credit top-up master’s degree in accounting and finance.
Students who have a level 6 BA or BSc qualification in a relevant subject (accounting, finance, business management, for example) will study on the full master’s programme. While those with a related level 7 diploma or accreditation will move straight into the thesis stage (Consultancy Project Report module).
During the thesis module, students will develop skills in critical analysis and research. They will then apply their understanding of advanced accountancy practices with financial theories and apply both to real scenarios.
Throughout the full master’s degree, students study seven modules (listed below). We have designed each to provide a base for high-level decision making. As a result, students will graduate ready to advance in a wide range of roles, including auditor, forensic accountant, and CFO.
In addition, the master’s asks students to consider how they will apply the strategic and innovative knowledge they learn in future roles.
To complete the full master’s degree, students must gain 180 credits from the seven modules; this totals 1200 hours of learning, which includes 480 Guided Learning Hours.
To complete the MSc Accounting and Finance (Top-up), students must gain 60 credits from the Consultancy Project Report module.
Lectures, seminars, and one-to-one tutor meetings are delivered from our virtual learning environment (VLE) — King’s Business School cloud campus. As a result, students can study when and where it is convenient for them. We upload lectures for on-demand viewing, and students can plan one-to-one sessions around their schedules.
In conclusion, distance learning is ideal for those with the motivation and self-discipline to study online.
Top-up Entry Route
